Bio
Bill Sauers and Tony Mucci have been playing music together since the late nineties after they met in Florida.
During the mid seventies and early eighties, Bill preformed as a soloist singer-songwriter, in a duo, and with a band called,
"The Factor", throughout Northern and Central Jersey.
Tony, from Yonkers, NY, was playing guitar or bass in several bands on Long Island and around NYC and Westchester.
In 2008, they released an album under Bill's name called, "Feelin' Alright".
Bill started writing new material for the next album and Tony was performing live with The Mad Dadz and Mr. Blues. In 2017, Bill and Tony started appearing at an Open Mic Night at the Steamhorse Brewery and The Twisted Truck Brewery, hosted by Eric and Michelle Pariseleti. They had a guy playing congas, who would accompany you if you wanted and his name was Joe Wyman. Every Sunday night for months, Bill and Tony would show up playing original songs, and some covers from Cash to Springsteen, with Joe on the congas and the sound was beautiful. Turns out that Joe was once the drummer with The Scorpions in the seventies which we thought was pretty cool. One night, Joe suggested that we should form a band. Keep in mind, Joe was playing with several other performers in the North Palm Beach area at the time, so Bill and Tony were surprised and curious as to why Joe wanted to do this. He said, "because you guys are fun!" So that's why we formed the band, and that's what the band is all about, having fun.
What shall we call this new band?
After many names that just didn't seem to fit, Tony's wife, Suellen, mentioned that we hop from one brewery to the other and, The Brew Hoppers Band was born. Shortly afterwards, Joe headed to Mexico where he is rocking out with several bands as of this writing, and is something of a celebrity down there.
Meantime, Bill and Tony had the good fortune of opening for The Chris O'Leary Band at the Brewhouse Gallery, and their drummer was kind enough to sit in and play drums for us, and it was awesome! That's when The Brew Hoppers became an acoustic rock n' roll band. Michael O'Rourke, who booked The Brew Hoppers as the opening act that night, introduced the band to Vinnie Veneziano, and he became the new drummer and percussionist for the band.
The Brew Hoppers have appeared at several venues throughout Palm Beach County, FL, and we are inviting you to listen to our music. The lyrics of the songs are inspired by forgiveness, peace, love and joy with a positive message and a rockin' beat. There are currently 8 singles available on a variety of streaming services like Apple and Spotify for your listening pleasure. These songs, along with 4 songs currently in the works, will be the first Brew Hoppers album, tentatively titled,
"Hop In With The Brew Hoppers Band".
We encourage you to leave your contact information below, and we will send you free demo recordings, and updates about upcoming shows in the South Florida area.
